Everything Ren'Py Pocket can do beyond just running the game.
WiFi Transfer
Send large games wirelessly from your PC
No USB cable, no cloud storage. As long as your iPhone and PC are on the same WiFi, you can push games directly into the app — even 10 GB+ files.
How to use
- Tap + → Upload from PC
- Open the address shown on your PC browser (e.g.
192.168.x.x:8080) - Drag and drop the ZIP — installs directly
Real-time Translation
Read any game in your language — no mods needed
Ren'Py Pocket hooks into the game's dialogue stream and translates every line using Apple's on-device Translation framework. No internet required once you've downloaded the language pack.
How to use
- During gameplay, tap the translation button on the right side panel
- Translation appears as a bubble at the bottom of the screen
- Adjust bubble size with the Aa button
Save Management
Back up, restore, and transfer saves across devices
Select a game → tap Save Management to access four operations:
Export all saves as a ZIP via Share Sheet
Restore from a previously exported ZIP
Export a single save file for sharing
Remove all saves (back up first!)
Import saves from PC
- On PC, find the game folder →
game/saves/ - Put the
.savefiles in iCloud Drive or email them - In Ren'Py Pocket → Save Management → Import Save Files
Mod Management
Install patches and fan content, undo if something breaks
Select a game → tap Mod Management to install or remove mods.
Install a mod
- Tap Import Mod
- Select the mod file (
.rpy,.rpyc,.py, or.zip) - Relaunch the game to see it applied
Mod Management → Rollback Mod removes the last installed mod and restores the game files.

A floating panel with all the controls you need
A compact floating panel sits on the side of the screen while you play. Drag by the ☰ button to reposition it; tap the 👁 icon to hide it.
